UK Championships launch three new contenders for Cologne

A great day was had by all attending the UK championships at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park near Wakefield, West Yorkshire in mid-June, reports UK Chapter Administrator Pauline Sherwood.

The UK Chapter now has three further champions to join Aysin Aydogdu (in the Cezve/Ibrik Championship) at Wonderful Coffee Cologne in Germany next week.
 
They are:

• John Gordon of Ristretto, Latte Art Champion
• Edward Buston of Clifton Coffee, Coffee in Good Spirits Champion (pictured by John Sherwood)
  
• Maire Reier of The Monmouth Coffee Company, Cup Tasting Champion

John is from Australia and Maire from Estonia, but both have worked in the coffee industry here in the UK for many years.
 
We wish them every success and, who knows, we just might win the Best Nation trophy, since we are currently in the lead with Gwilym's triumph in Atlanta!
 
The organisers of the UK championships were extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors:
