Coffee Kids to celebrate 20th Anniversary with Minneapolis Dinner

22nd December 2007
International industry charity Coffee Kids is to celebrate its 20th anniversary at a special celebration dinner during the Specialty Coffee Association of America's 2008 Conference & Exhibition in Minneapolis, on May 3, 2008.
The organisation, which assists coffee communities in a number of important origins, is inviting members of the international coffee community and allied businesses to attend the gathering, which will commemorate Coffee Kids' achievements over two decades and to honour its supporters.
The event will highlight the organisation's pioneering work in microcredit programmes, healthcare services and educational activities, which have helped to develop local economies and stimulate sustainable communities in five different origins.
Among the speakers, in addition to those being honoured, will be Coffee Kids founder Bill Fishbein, executive director Carolyn Fairman and board of directors president Rob Stephen, along with the representatives of partner organisations that have benefited from Coffee Kids' support.
Advance reservations for the celebratory dinner, set for 7:30-9:30 pm in Grand Ballroom B of the Minneapolis Convention Center (site of the SCAA event), along with further event information are available from Heather Ferraro, who can be contacted by clicking here.
Sponsorships for the event are also available, starting at $250; Melissa Pugash has more details and she can be reached by clicking here.
